Who can book an exam?

Anyone aged 18 or over can book exams on behalf of candidates. This could be a teacher, parent/carer or member of staff at a school, music service or other organisation.

Candidates aged 18 and over can book their own exams. The person who books the exam is known as the applicant.

Ways to book

From 2020, we have a new online booking service for graded music exams (practical and Music Theory), ARSM, Prep Test and Performance Assessment. We are unable to accept postal bookings for these assessments.

Arrangements for DipABRSM, LRSM and FRSM diplomas, and Choral Singing and Ensembles exams are staying the same. You will still need to book these exams by post. You can download entry forms here.
